Scrive services – Removal of HTTP redirect from port 80 to port 443 on scrive.com, scrive.eu including all subdomains

Overview

scrive-001-2025
Product: All Scrive services
Published: 2025-07-14
Change: Redirecting of HTTP traffic from port 80 to port 443 will be discontinued
Environment: All
Type: Mandatory, comprehensive action might be necessary
Enforced as of: 2025-11-01

Description

The current automatic redirecting of HTTP traffic (301 Moved Permanently) from port 80 (http://) to port 443 (https://) on Scrive domains scrive.com and scrive.eu will become obsolete and soon stop working.

The changes are mandatory, cannot be deferred and going to be enforced starting 1 November 2025.

Impact

Requests made to http://scrive.com, http://scrive.eu or any subdomain thereof, for example http://app.scrive.com or http://app.scrive.eu will no longer be redirected to https://... Any attempts to use http:// will then result in an error.

This change affects all Scrive products including the eSign API and eID hub.

In case you use integrations, links (like bookmarks), or other systems that are still using http:// when trying to connect to any Scrive service, you are required to update these requests to use https://.

Failure to do so will disrupt your processes as of 1 November 2025.

Recommendation

If applicable, we recommend system administrators and developers to go through their own services that are integrated with Scrive products to make sure that only https:// requests are used.
