Description

The eSign Retail App will stop working for Android devices that are running on legacy versions of the Android operating system.

Android versions 6-13 are affected by this change in system requirements. 

Scrive is required to implement this change in order to meet requirements imposed by the Google Play Store.

Beware that iOS/iPadOS devices are currently not subject to new system requirements. 

Impact

The eSign Retail App will stop supporting legacy Android versions.

Devices running Android version 6 or below will not be able to run the eSign Retail App after 31 May 2026.

Devices running Android version 7-13 will not be able to run the eSign Retail App after 30 November 2026.

Recommendation

If you are running devices for the eSign Retail App with an Android version 6 or below, your device no longer meets the minimum requirements. You must upgrade to a higher version of Android before 31 May 2026.

If you are running devices for the eSign Retail App with an Android version between 7 and 13, you can use the eSign Retail App until 30 November 2026 before the Retail App stops working. You are highly encouraged to already now upgrade to a newer version of Android (version 14 or higher).
